" Stella McCartney was named Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, which were staged at London's Savoy Theatre Tuesday night.
" The award is the cherry on top of a big year for McCartney, who designed the Team GB uniforms for Britain's Olympic competitors this summer.
The glitzy affair, which included guests such as actress Salma Hayek and architect Zaha Hadid, also honored Sophie Hulme, J.W. Anderson and Jonathan Saunders with awards for Emerging Talent in accessories, ready-to-wear and menswear, WWD reports "
