" Barneys is known for its provocative holiday windows (last season, the upscale retailer collaborated with Lady Gaga on a series of moody, futuristic installations, most memorably with a giant silver motorcycle), but this year, it worked with the family-friendly Walt Disney company to create an unusual animated showpiece, dubbed "Electric Holiday."
" According to WWD, the cartoon—which will loop on LED tiles at the Madison avenue location—opens with Minnie Mouse window-shopping for a Lanvin dress. Soon, her daydream transports her all the way to Paris Fashion Week, where she envisions high-fashion primping before posing for a glitzy photo session with photograher Steven Meisel.
Minnie encounters a fair share of fashion's A-list, from Linda Evangelista to Carine Roitfeld, Juergen Teller and Anna Dello Russo, as well as front-row editors like The New York Times' Cathy Horyn and WWD's Bridget Foley. A few Disney celebs, like Captain Hook and the Cheshire Cat, also make appearances in Minnie's daydream "
