More Adults Being Diagnosed With Type 1 Diabetes, Says Long Island Foundation
" HUNTINGTON, NY (CBSNewYork) - It’s an unfortunate truth, but more adults are being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

Type 1 Diabetes used to be known as juvenile diabetes, said Karina Sisalli of the Juvenile Research Diabetes Foundation on Long Island.

“20s, 30, even 40s and 50s we’ve seen people being diagnosed with Type 1, so the population living with Type 1 Diabetes is really 50/50,”┬áSisalli told WCBS 880′s Sophia Hall.
