The Nets’ forward, who has seen his playing time decrease, will not be with the team this weekend when Brooklyn takes on Oklahoma City and San Antonio. The organization says the absence is because of personal reasons.
According to the New York Post, the Nets might soon cut ties with the 33-year-old Russian. The newspaper reports that the organization might attempt to trade Kirilenko, whose $3.3 million contract is set to expire. If a trade isn’t completed, a buyout is likely.
